Website Accessibility Statement

We believe our website should be accessible by all visitors, so we have followed the recommended guidelines from the Web Accessibility Initiative to level AAA.

To ensure our site is usable for as many people as possible, we have taken the following steps:

  • Provided alternative text for all images, to provide a description for all non-decorative images.
  • Used labels to associate a text label with each form element.
  • Provided navigational shortcuts for users without a mouse, or with disabilities.
  • Ensured link text describes its destination.
  • Made all text resizable, and used a clear font type.
  • Ensuring the site is usable without technologies such as Javascript and Css.
  • All pages on the site comply to the W3C standards.

Navigation Aids

To make sure all content on the site can be reached quick and easily by all, we have added some navigation aids, such as a "skip to content" link, which can be found right at the top of the page.

We have also assigned each main page an access key, for those users who don't use a pointing device like a mouse.

Customising the Site

If you find the text hard to read, you can adjust the size in all browsers.

In Internet Explorer:

  • On the browser menu select 'view'
  • Click 'text size'
  • Choose the size of text

In Firefox:

  • Hold Ctrl and press + or -, to increase or decrease the size.
  • If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, holding Ctrl and turning the mouse wheel will also increase/decrease the text size.
