In November 2013, 92-year-old Second World War veteran Harry Leslie Smith’s article ‘This year, I will wear a poppy for the last time’ was shared almost 60,000 times online and started a national debate. Now he brings his unique perspective to NHS cutbacks, benefits policy, political corruption and the cost of education. Dont Let My Past Be Your Future is a memoir and survival guide to persevering through difficult times with your dignity and optimism intact.

Don't Let My Past Be Your Future is part of our City of Literature Weekend
