An ambitious, brilliantly executed production from one of the most innovative theatre companies in New York…one of the most unforgettable experiences of my theatre going experiences.’
New York Times

The hotly anticipated first visit to the UK by New York’s Nature Theater of Oklahoma, Life and Times is their epic portrait of an unremarkable life, generated from one single, simple question to a real life friend: “can you tell me your life story?”

Each episode tells a self-contained slice of their story, each performed in a totally different style to the last.

Following a logic all of its own, Life and Times is madcap, brilliant, invigorating and entertaining.  A masterclass in unconventional story-telling, it presents our ordinary stories in an extraordinary way.

Experience each episode separately or immerse yourself in the full, twelve hour Saturday Marathon including barbeque cooked for you by the cast!

Episode 1
First smells, first bruises, first fears, first friends, first enemies.
A musical extravanza
3.5 hours (inc. interval)

Episode 2
That first crush, the boy you met on holiday, the friend you secretly started smoking with.
Electro disco meets heroic gymnastics and vocal extravagance
2 hours (no interval)

Episodes 3 & 4
Experimentation, rebellion, religion, metaphysics and first love.
A murder mystery play (think The Mousetrap)
2.5 hours (inc. interval)

World premiere commissioned for Norfolk & Norwich Festival
