Made in China
Tonight I'm Gonna Be The New Me
10.30pm

A first work-in-progress of Made In China’s new show. Tonight I’m Gonna Be The New Me will be an epic solo show that tap-dances its way to the core of who we are and the values we live by.
It will tell a story of a girl who is light on her feet, whose feet ‘can dance around bullets, dance like we gotta dance, around the bullets of today.’ Tonight, I’m Gonna Be The New Me will ask how we define ourselves and how we judge our worth. It will ask what virtuosity is and whether it’s valued much in the modern world.  And it will explore what might be gained or lost through our contemporary obsession with personal change and being light on our feet.

Hunt & Darton Cafe

A fully functioning café that blends art with the everyday, Hunt & Darton Cafe is a social and artistic hub where spontaneity and performance meet great food and drink. John Boursnell
Artist, Writer and Thinker in Residence

Live artist and writer John Boursnell will be in residence throughout to document, review and subvert the programme through the creation of new texts, posters and online scribbling, alongside his usual tape players and small tabletop objects.

This event is part of [Live] Art Club

After the success of last year’s [Live] Art Club, this year we’ve decided not to pull any punches – we’ll be open til late throughout the Festival. Unexpected, unplanned and often uncontrollable moments of wild artistic abandon will be taking place – here is a taste of some of the headline acts; each night will feature artists from across our fantastic region and a wonderful selection of East by South East Showcase Artists presented by The Basement, Brighton.

“One of the most haunting and mesmerising spectacles you will catch... simply fantastic” Artrocker - Mat Riviere
