Seachange Carousel Collective
12pm - 2pm & 2.30pm - 4.30pm
A life on the ocean waves awaits! As the sound of a sea shanty whistles through the sails, our crusty old crew will dress up your little sailors and cast them adrift on a people-powered nautical carousel. Ride the ramshackle raft, paddle steamer, pirate galleon, or even the Owl & the Pussycat's beautiful Pea Green Boat! A magical maritime creation by The Insect Circus, Kate Munro, Dan Peppiat and Matt Nunn.
12.15am, 2.15pm & 4.15pm
Interactive performance from Wet Picnic, with a piece called The Life. Step inside, choose a floor and prepare to be whisked away to another moment in time, with a set of characters that you don't know, or maybe just didn't notice.
1pm & 3.45pm
An outdoors performance that combines sculptural machinery with slap-stick clownery. A contraption, pieced together with objects taken from a garden shed. Haywood Hix is a collaboration between artist Mark Haywood and performer Jon Hicks.
Lost in Translation
LA BALLADE DE BERGERAC
11.15am & 2.45pm
Circus performance inspired by early science fiction and the life and times of Cyrano de Bergerac, this exciting new circus show brings together spectacular aerial techniques and a steampunk inspired mechanical set to create big cinematic imagery and a distinctively wacky world.
12pm, 2pm & 4pm
Frantic is an explosive and moving exploration of our relentless devotion to busyness. In this dynamic new work from one of the UK’s most exciting young circus companies, acrobatics and dance-theatre combine, choreographed around a unique structure.
Frantic is co-commissioned by Without Walls, Brighton Festival, Hat Fair, Winchester, Mintfest, Kendal and Ageas Salisbury International Arts Festival, in partnership with 101 at Corn Exchange Newbury, The Point, Eastleigh, and Seachange Arts, Great Yarmouth. Originally developed through Gone in Twenty Minutes.
ORKESTRA DEL SOL
Prepare to party in the park with the joyous selection of explosive tunes from Orkestra del Sol. Catch them later tonight in the Adnams Spiegeltent from 10pm!
