The release of their critically acclaimed debut album, as well as back-to-back sold out shows at Ronnie Scott’s and the opening of their own bar in East London has cemented Kansas Smitty’s House Band’s reputation as one of the driving forces in the London jazz scene.

Their definitive sound, a mashup of swing, blues, R&B, New Orleans second line and gospel, has allowed them to cross the divides between generations and dispositions.

‘If jazz is to survive it will need more bands like this one’. The Sunday Times
