Culture Chain

Festival Bridge has been able to respond to needs, challenges and opportunities faced by those working in the cultural education sector thanks to the launch of its Culture Chain programme in October 2013.

Festival Bridge has supported and invested in the following networks:

We Are Ipswich - a network created by Ipswich based NPOs which has received investment to develop a school engagement strand

Bury Schools Partnership - King Edward VII is leading its 19-school cluster in the development of their cultural education offer and the undertaking of Artsmark. The Bury St Edmunds based network is also developing strong and sustainable relationships with local arts and cultural organisations

U Rock Creative and Comberton Academy Trust (which includes two teaching schools) launched Space for Dialogue - a pilot which examined how schools can communicate with each other through their students

52 Stories - a year round programme of reading and storytelling embedded across a cluster of schools in and around Cherry Hinton with the aim of becoming a Cambridge city wide, county wide and eventually a national approach endorsed by The Reading Agency

Association for Suffolk Museums – developing an existing network of museums and schools in the county to further explore where museums can tie an offer in with both local curriculum models and the new curriculum
